The food was excellent.This is a simple REAL Working person Mexican Restaurant.I had a carne asada Gordita and a Cabeza taco.Cabeza is a very soft beef and very nicely seasoned.You have to try Cabeza. Service was good and the young lady was attentive.Overall this is a great homage type Mexican restaurant. I will be back!

Food and people are amazing. Love this place. The plates are abundant and very well thought through. There are so many options you can go there for months and never have to get the same food. If you been to Mexico, you feel in a real popular restaurant where everyone in town goes to. Can't get enough of this place.

They always prepare the food quickly, it is friendly service, lovely ambience, and I am never disappointed ordering from them! The guacamole and quesadillas are some of my favorite items.

Since my fav Mexican restaurant closes early on Sun I to look for smthg else & similar. So ok, yes literally in the middle of nowhere but worth it!! Food absolutely delicious, our waitress, what a delightful young lady I believe her name is Yadaly (I'm so bad with names). Def another restaurant to go & most importantly "price is just right"!

I've been a loyal customer of Taquería Doña Raquel for years, and it has never disappointed me. The variety of dishes is excellent, but their tripe is what keeps me coming back. It's incredibly hard to find well-cooked tripe, but they nail it every time--whether it's in a burrito or a taco, it's always amazing. The service is amiable and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. This place truly has my heart because of their outstanding tripe. Highly recommended!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for drinks and food! The place is super authentic and everything was delicious, honestly my fave was the enchiladas verdes and the quesadilla. Would certainly come back, very friendly staff and great service. Thanks!!

My favorite Mexican restaurant is called Taquería Dona Raquél. Located on Sixie highway south of Atlantic in Pompano Beach. It's in an industrial area but we'll worth it. I go here a lot and had many dishes on the menu. On weekends they cook tamales in a husk. I had the chicken tamale. Delicious. Then I ordered a postone I think it's called. They cook the meat on a spit and serve it as a taco. Tender and juicy. They only offer this dish on the weekend too. Well worth trying this dish. I love the open kitchen and I'd you sit close enough l, you can watch the chef cook. The cook with love and you taste it in their food. Very crowded for a Sunday lunch. Servers always friendly and accommodating. Reasonable prices. Mostly local Mexicans I see dine here, so you know their food is the real deal.

I'm still Coming here after many years. It's the real deal. When people ask me what my favorite taco place is, "Dona Raquél " is my answer. You walk in and see the pots and pans on the stove full of delicious food. Today I had the complimentary chips and salsas, steak taco, beans, and steak Gordita. The Gordita shell is freshly fried and so good. Service is quick. There is indoor seating only.
